  • ADJECTIVE: word that describes a noun. There are red roses in the old vase.
  • ADVERB: word used to modify a verb, an adjective or another adverb.
    • ADV. OF PLACE: You find tulips everywhere.
    • ADV. OF TIME: I'll arrive at 10.
    • ADV. OF MANNER: I'll pass the exam easily
    • ADV. OF DEGREE: She dances more elegantly.
    • ADV. OF CONDITION: If we hurry up, we'll get to the theatre on time.
